This beautiful creature was found with her sister in dreadful condition. Between the 2 of them, they had one seeing eye. Then one day the CheChe fell off the balcony. MeiMei and the rescuer both were distraught and that is how MeiMei came to my kitten nursery. Blind cats need to have at least one other cat around to learn what to do and how to navigate simple things like jumping off the sofa.
MeiMei has the softest silkiest fur EVER! with a lovely full tail to help her make sense of the world. Looking at her move around a familiar space, you wouldn't even know she is blind. And yes she is totally blind with no eyeballs.
If you have a lot of love to give, want a beautiful kitty cat who is independent when you are busy, yet will need you for care and cuddles for the rest of her life - not just while she is a kitten, MeiMei is the one for you.
If you don't have other cats to guide MeiMei in her new home, we have Paradigm who can be adopted with MeiMei. They are good friends with completely different personalities. Paradigm is an active and braves adventurer with a gentle heart. MeiMei arrived smaller that Parry but is now bigger, probably because she is less active than Parry overall - although she tries hard to follow Parry everywhere, including up the gate!
We - rescuer and fosterer - love MeiMei dearly and are willing to wait for the right forever family. You are out there, we know. We will be here to help and guide you in all ways and always if you are the right one.
MeiMei requires very little special care. We have chosen not to sew her eyes up so her eye sockets (!) have to be kept clean. That's about it.
