Name was inspired by his gorgeous look like Harimau, we decided to call him Mao Mao. Mao Mao was previously picked up by a kind person from the street and he seems very healthy and clean(he’s a very well disciplined groomer for himself). Was suspected to be owned by someone but maybe abandoned or lost. Even after posting in groups to look for the owner, there were no signs of claiming for the ownership and that’s when we decided to take him in.

As a first timer for cats, we had no experience for taking care of cats as we only used to be dog owners. Even though it’s the first time for, us we prepared and took every precautions and needs for cat before we take him in. Believe it or not, as a first timer, he’s so kind and gentle to let us take him to the vet with any struggles, screaming or what so ever. Brought to the vet for checkup by previous person and we send him once again for checkup, both checkup were given a healthy comment by the vet, approximately 1 year old and he got dewormed and 1st vaccination done.

The most bizarre thing is we were able to cut his nails and give him a bath on the FIRST DAY!! That’s a very rare and special thing to happen especially if you’ve owned or heard how hard it will be for a cat to do all those, let alone on the very first day into a new environment.

As the hardest things expected went perfectly well, other things like good attitude, quiet, active while playing, knowing how to use the litter box, of course he got all of that, it’s like a story from a movie, he’s a smartest and good little boy, we see him as a little boy as he can really understand what you’re saying or what you ask him to not do since Day 1 being with us, someone he never seen before.

You can tell that he needs a lot of love but on top of that, he gives you more than what he needs and of course some affection like a massage session on his tummy, that’s all for him, he will be happy and be very grateful for everything you do. Love, sleep, play, eat and repeat, that’s the simple life of Mao Mao.

As much as we loved him so much even though it’s a short period of time, it’s very unfortunate that being allergic made us need to find him a new home because it’s unfair for him to stay with people that can’t really cop with the nature of cats, especially for his whole lifetime. Him and every cat deserves all the love and time from us and so we hope to help him find that.

For adoption, you will need to go through a short questionnaire, a small fee is needed, but other than that just pay with your love, time. Do note that he is currently on ringworm medication and is still in healing process which you will need to monitor until fully healed. You will also be responsible to take him to his 2nd and 3rd vaccination follow up with his neuter surgery.
