Douglas is a quiet but resilient fighter. He was rescued with sporo above his eye but he was just so friendly and desperate for help that we couldn't say no. Since April, he was boarded at a vet to help recover from sporo and though he did do so, he unfortunately became very overweight from the caging and 100% kibble diet. This obesity in turn also made him diabetic, but we were thankfully able to get the diabetes into remission.
Fortunately, Douglas got a clean bill of health from our main vet and no longer diabetic. However, it will be imperative for his future adopter to commit to a healthy diet and portion control for Douglas, and feed only high quality wet food, which is our recommendation for all cats!
Douglas has been defleaed, dewormed, vaccinated, neutered and is FIV/FeLV negative. He's a very big boy with a big frame, and already looking so much healthier since he lost some weight. He's a real gentle giant though - even though he's the biggest cat in his foster home, he's super chill with everyone and lets even the kitten boss him around. He's friendly to even strangers and has a quiet confidence about him.
Douglas is available as a solo cat or to a home with another cat. He's great with human kids too!

We do have a short application process. We insist that all cats adopted from us be indoor cats and spayed/neutered when old enough.
