Arwen was originally a TNR (trap-neuter-return) case who had a bad case of flu. Upon getting her vetted, it became clear that she was more susceptible to flu due to her FIV, which weakens the immune system. Once she recovered, she was released, and when she started approaching us and wrapping herself around her legs, I brought her indoors.
For sure, Arwen is a timid and a quintessential scaredy cat. Despite her very shy nature, with patience and letting her set the pace, she is also a super derpy and playful girl! She would come out of her room to play like crazy, even up until the point she would be panting. She loves wand-style toys and will run around for a solid half hour, if you play with her! Arwen is also capable of building a strong bond with her humans, and very loving and loyal. She also loves to roll around and show her belly while purring super loudly.
Though FIV positive, Arwen has no clinical symptoms, so as long as she's kept indoors and fed nutritious food with vet visits once a year, she can live the normal life span of 15-20 years. She's been defleaed, dewormed, fully vaccinated, and spayed.
Arwen is looking for a quiet home, preferably with just one or two other cats. A LOT of cats and dogs can be stressful for her as she's easily startled. It takes a while for her to come out of her shell, so we hope that her new cat parent can be patient and understanding enough to move on her timeline. But she's a very easy maintenance cat otherwise. Please give this girl a chance to be unconditionally loved, just the way she is!

We do have a short application process. We also insist that all cats adopted from us be indoor cats and spayed/neutered when old enough.
