Jacqueline   Mar 5th 2010 at 12:01AM Dear Friends, Very sadly, Save Me Or I 'll Dire # 11 was put down this morning. His time was up on Monday originally. Pat Lim ,my colleague, with over 40 years of experiences in animal rescue & welfare has indicated since Monday;she will take him out. Her space is full & no extra fund is available to house him in a clinic. So we hold him there till we could secure a space. But, they put him down this morning;reason a wound on the leg. Pat said she will take him out & we had saved far far worst. Both of us are VERY DEMORALISED. We are at the pound in this heat daily helping the staff in every way to ensure the maximum comfort possible with the VERY LIMITED RESOURCES available. Dear Friends, in this time you yes you can save his & his mates lives. Be courageous & take up the challenge to home one by all means. We are like you; we work hard very hard to get him or her homed.Be creative & you will find a home. We could share how gladly.

Jacqueline   Mar 9th 2010 at 11:29PM Sanctuary was thought to be the solution.Not now.Empirical evidences & case studies studying the exponential growth og dogs & cats coupled with irresponsible owners make unwanted pets a perpectual problem. The key solution is Owners be responsible & sterilization.SAS has a permanent sterilization campaign targetting strays. But, immediate rescue of owners dogs whose masters & mistresses are yet to come to claim them back is paramount. They are so well cared. But why wouldn't they fetch them back ??? but let them suffer through great anxiety knowing full well they will be put down when their days are up.How do they know ? They hear their specie protest, their cries,etc . What about those watching earlier being put down. Look, what have these dogs done except wag their tails when in sight of their owners & friends. Warn intruders. Above all,love us unconditionally. Is this how owners return our thanks ?

All fund raised are great blessing to these dogs.Sponsorship of sterilization would then be possible for those on the streets . They need only care for themselves then instead of bringing hardship & pain to 2 litters a year per female. Thank you ray4animals.
