I agree ngan AD. pasal neuter, deworming and vaccination tu ok. Sbb masa I put my cats for adoption pun I Ada my requirements. Tapi I x delah specify landed property. I think flat, condo pun ok, as long adopter berhati2 and ambil langkah keselamatan and syg and jaga kebersihan kucing. AD, btw congrats on tan2. x dpt nak kasi my cats to u sbb dah Ada adopter before u. am glad u dpt tan2 akhirnya :)

agree...most people dun have probs dgn requirement on neuter the kitten tp when it's come to living on landed property will become problems sikit lah since most people in KL or Sel living in condo, apartment, and flat. Even me living in apartment still have pets n until now no problems.

Betul tu nastygurlz.klu DLH dah tentu jam inbox Toonho:) I think if she/he require new adoptive parents for Luna dok kat landed property, then dia dah restricted the potential adopters. Even myself, dok kat apartment dgn 12 cats but still ok.yg penting kita sendiri kena rajin kemas dan bersihkan rmh tiap2 hari.now I have part time maid to help me & my hubby. She's fantastic.berkilat rmh akak skrg ni.hehehehhe!! Most of all,she loves cat too. Bonus point for me :)

I know the difficulties to look for adoptive parents with all those "Rules and Regulations". But for the future of the animals, i have no choice.
Half of the cats i have now, were sent to me since of the management of the flat or condo not allow to keep PET.
I never ask anyone to janji for me, but i want the adoptive parents to janji for the animal that they want to adopt.

At least there is less chances for the adopter to return the pet since of the rules and regulation of the property. Basic for a pet: A legal place for them to live. If the apartment stated pet allowed black and white, i don't mind to let the resident to adopt the pets.

Toonho, not neccesarily landed property pets are safe from anything. Some neighbours are very nasty. They can't stand the sight of any animals though the cats/dog keep indoor they still not satisfy until the animal are totally out from their sight. My mom's cat in KK was poison by the neighbour. My mum's house is landed proerty & corner lot and yet this thing happen. My mum's cats never poo/pee anywhere except their litter box. The cat never destroy their plants or anything because my mum cat proofting her house but still the neigbhour managed to poison the cat. This is Malaysia where animals are pariah to certain people. Good Luck in finding new home for Luna.

That's a tough question, June. I agree with you that evil and stupid neighbors can be a problem, even in a landed property, but look how many pets end up for adoption on Petfinder with the explanation, "Moving to a condo."

In the end, it comes down to the adopter, right? A sincere, loving, responsible cat-owner will not stay in an apartment or condo where cats are prohibited, and if in a landed house, s/he will try to reason with the cat-hating neighbor next-door. (Although in your mother's case, it was obviously futile. GRRRR!) In other words, the responsible adopter will do everything possible to keep the cat. What else can anyone ask?

Like all the other rescuers who have a list of requirements, I believe Toonho only wants what's best for his foster cats, and if someone promised to provide vaccinations, neutering and a cat-friendly condo/apartment, that might be good enough. :-)

Sigh!! Amanda, our apartment management not really strict abt keeping animal but since my neighbour from hell moved in,they gave us headache.

My conclusion,if you quietly keep the pet and not create antyhing that attract people/neighbours on your pet, we shud be fine. Condo or apartment.

Betul Kak June...to be honest my apartment does not allowed pet but i keep my cat quietly in my apartment n only goes out of the house when time utk balik kampung or to vet....(sorok dier dalam beg baju n turun ikut tangga instead of lift) hahahahhaha..almost a year n blom kantoi lagi...luckily i dun have nosy neighbour yg nak peek into the house...

for my conclusion lak, nak seribu daya tak nak seribu dalih...dah syg sggup wat ape sahaja.

Ah, Toonho -- congratulations! I'm happy you found a good home for pretty little Luna, and blessings for helping all the other cats you foster, too.
