My father and I, took in Fang when we rescued him off an undergrowth, near the drains by the roadside a few weeks ago. Covered in fleas and may have been abandoned by his mum.
The neighbours and I had been hearing kitten cries for at least 3 days/nights during our stormy weather.
I would go look, but could not find it.
Finally got my dad to help.
When bringing him in, the kitten refused to eat or drink, we gave him a flea bath and tried to keep him as warm and sheltered as possible.
Took him to our vet, where he had another flea bath and got checked out for any other conditions.
Very weak and underweight, he was terrified of everything around him.
Had a few worrying days, where he would eat kitten wet food, but not drink anything, I put him on goats milk powder and was trying to wean him off it.
Now, a few weeks later, he's healthier, gained the right weight and I guess you could say, he feels safe. He's playful, but terrified of new toys that look like snakes, it's a possibility he may have come across one.
Fang is going through the teething stage, so likes to bite everything!
He's climbing and jumping.
Absolutely dislikes the kitten biscuits we got for him and happily eats my older cats' biscuits. As for the water, he'll only drink some when he's had a good, long play chasing his favourite toy - the ball with a bell inside.
I hope to find a good family for him, he needs the attention and love.
So far, I've kept him indoors like my other cats, he sleeps at night in his cage and I let him out to play during the day, but in a separate room away from my others. He adores his sleep box and luckily for me, used a litter box from day one.
