Buttercup is the elusive and rare all-ginger female. Most statistics estimate that the chances of an all-ginger cat being a female is only about 20%. This rarity was unfortunately living in a car park. Though she was originally very shy, she soon learned to trust her feeders and they were able to take her in for proper medical care and spaying.
Since Buttercup has been with her foster mom, she's been shy in the beginning but eventually has really warmed up. She loves to play by herself with toys, and gets quite worked up! And she also absolutely loves food, which is a great way to bond with a cat. Now Buttercup doesn't mind being held and being really close to her foster mama. We expect this trend to continue, but that in any new environment, she will take some time to adjust.
Buttercup has been defleaed, dewormed, vaccinated, and spayed. She's about 2 years old, and is very healthy and fully ready for adoption. She's available as a solo cat but we suspect she will also probably get along with other cats, but will need a proper integration. We are looking for someone willing to be patient with Buttercup until she feels comfortable in her new surroundings, as she can be easily overstimulated with prolonged touching/petting and the adopter will have to learn her body language. She can nip if she becomes overstimulated. Please don't overlook the shy and awkward cats, and give her a chance.

We do have a short application process. We insist that all cats adopted from us be indoor cats and spayed/neutered when old enough.
