Mercy and her 3 siblings, Hope (see my listing on Hope), Coffee (adopted) and Chika (rip) was found together without their mother at PJ Old Town wet market. They were about 3 months old and it was probably sometime late 2017.
She was adopted mid 2018 but the adopter developed a very bad allergy that she got hospitalised for asthma. Adopter had no choice but to return Mercy to us.
Late last year, during an adoption drive hosted by a cat food label, both Mercy and Hope got adopted together. Within hours after the adoption, the adopter called and said they want to return both Mercy and Hope. Adopter's excuse was that she was unable to handle them as they refused to come out of their carrier. On that same day, Sofie and Anis went to bring both of them back.
Mercy is a cat that prefers to be alone where other cats are concerned. She can be rather fierce and may potentially get into fights with other cats. But she's sweet with humans. When Yiran and I were doing her 'photoshoot', it took about 15 minutes or so before she got comfortable with us and willingly spent time around us. And, what I have learnt from fostering is that a home environment can change a cat...for the better. So, if you give this girl a chance, she may just surprise you with personalities that we have yet to witness.
