I am a dog lover,especially the larger breeds.In my younger days,I used to have dogs for my companions.In Nov 2007, I rescued a first- time -mother dog together with her 9 cute pups from the roadside in one of the housing areas of Subang Jaya. I managed to find adopters for the pups.Then one of them was down with purging and was hospitalised in a private vat clinic. The first adopters came to take away a pair of them.The remaining 6 would be heading for their new homes before Christmas. But who would have known that within 2 days,these cute and running -about pups were all down with purging.I sent them to the UPM vat hosp together with their mother.The biggest of them died the next day, and one after the other the rest were gone. Only the one in the private hosp survived after staying there for about 3 weeks. He went to his new home on the eve of last Chinese New Year. As for the mother dog, she is with us up to now.No adopter for her.I had her spayed.Never had any cat before, but recently,a young female strayed into the backyard,and stayed on.Took her to SPCA clinic to spay. She grew into a beautiful lady,then one day 2 weeks ago, she was gone and never returned.Right now there is a frail little black kitten being fostered in my house.
