We started rescuing long before we knew the word rescue.
As a child, we were always drawn to animals, especially the ones left behind, overlooked, or struggling to survive. There was an unexplainable connection: animals felt honest, pure, and deserving of love simply for existing. Helping them never felt like a choice, it felt instinctive.
Over the years, that instinct grew into hands-on rescue work, street feeding, rehabilitation, and Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR). Wander Dogs was born from lived experience with traumatised, abandoned, and forgotten dogs- dogs who needed patience, gentleness, and time to trust again.
One of our defining moments came when we took in nine dogs from a flat after their owner passed away. With no other option, they came under our care. Since then, many of our rescues have been supported through personal savings when donations fell short— not because it was easy, but because leaving them behind was never an option.
At Wander Dogs, we believe: - every animal deserves safety - trauma deserves understanding, not punishment - and love, given consistently, can heal even the deepest wounds
Our work focuses on rescue, rehabilitation, rehoming, and TNR— with an emphasis on kindness, education, and long-term impact.
We are a small, grassroots rescue, and we cannot do this alone. We are always in need of adopters, fosters, sponsors, donors, and volunteers.
If you’ve ever felt that quiet pull to help an animal— you’re already one of us. Thank you for being here ❤️
