Looking for a Loving Home for My Sweet Cat, Dodo

Hello, my name is Sun, and I’m a Korean living in the KLCC area. I’m looking for a kind and loving person or family in Malaysia who can adopt my precious cat, Dodo.

Dodo is a female cat, born in January 2020. She was originally rescued by Malaysian students and adopted by a foreign family. However, their child developed a severe cat allergy, so they asked me to temporarily care for her. Soon after, they had to leave Malaysia due to the COVID-19 pandemic and never returned. I have been taking care of Dodo ever since.

Dodo is gentle, quiet, and very shy. She is spayed and has always lived indoors. She has never interacted with other cats, so she tends to be anxious around them. I believe this is simply because she has never had the chance to socialize with other animals.

She has a small patch of thin or missing fur on her belly and tail. This is not due to any illness; it’s a result of grooming she had in the past, which may have damaged the hair follicles. Despite this, she is healthy and receives a vet check-up every year.

Dodo has only gone outside in a pet stroller on walks and has never been allowed to roam freely. She would not be safe alone outdoors, especially around cars or loud noises.

Because she is timid, she does not scratch furniture, jump onto high places, or damage curtains. She only uses her cat scratcher at home and behaves very gently indoors.

Unfortunately, my whole family suffers from allergies. We’ve been managing with medication, but now my husband has glaucoma, and his eye condition has become worse due to the cat allergy. The eye drops he needs are not compatible with the presence of cat allergens. My own allergic rhinitis has also become more severe.

Because of these health issues, we are heartbroken but forced to look for a new, safe, and loving home for Dodo. We truly hope to find someone who will love and care for her as much as we have.

I don’t have many local friends in Malaysia, and I’m sharing this with great care and hope. I do not want Dodo to experience being abandoned again, especially by another foreign family who may leave the country.
