Prior to this, we have not had any experience with dogs but after taking care of our aunt's dog for 3 weeks, we decided to adopt a dog for ourselves.

I personally thought that I will not pay much attention or spend time with the dog as I am staying away from my family but I realised that I was calling back home more often than usual asking my mom how is the dog doing, if anyone plays with him, if he is adapting well with the environment or eating well, etc.

I then realise that having a dog at home is like having someone in your life where you look forward to share, to be responsible and to learn more about yourself and the other.
