Lived with dogs all my life and always thought myself a staunch dog-lover. Never took a fancy to cats until a rescue a few months ago, when the injured kitten so impressed me with his will to live. I am now a reformed cat sympathiser. I think cats are relatively easy to look after compared to dogs - and just as affectionate. My rescued foster stray craved physical affection and loved nothing better than a body rub.
