As much as most animals are loved and cared for by their owners, not all of them are so lucky.

If you find yourself with an overabundance of empathy for the unfortunate animals out there, volunteering your time or money to help rescue them is an admirable use of your time. Any satisfaction you get from finding stray or abused animals a new home, or even homing them yourself would be well earned.
