We have been organising the Eco Champion Awards (ECA) since 2017 to celebrate inspiring Malaysians for their outstanding commitment to conserving the natural environment. The 2021 edition has come to an end, and we are proud to share the projects by our Eco Champions, which were made possible via grants from H&M. Despite challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, our passionate ECA winners successfully delivered their respective projects with a focus on conserving freshwater ecosystems.

In observing the #WorldRiversDay, join us in giving tribute to these Eco Champions for their commendable efforts in developing innovative approaches and tools as well as building outreach and engagement with the public through their projects that started in April 2021. We hope their stories inspire other youths to act and drive positive change for a sustainable future.

We hope their enthusiasm for conserving our environment, especially freshwater ecosystems, will continue and magnify even more beyond the ECA 2020. We wish these Eco Champions all the best in their future undertakings!
