Conserving Sungai Selangor With Inspirasi Kawa

As leaders of the future, youths are well-positioned to become role models, advocates and influencers for environmental sustainability including river conservation. It is indeed encouraging seeing some of our youths doing exactly these. In this regard, WWF-Malaysia proudly presents a video of Inspirasi Kawa, a local youth-led group to showcase their efforts in championing river conservation in Kuala Selangor. 🙌

Led by Masbudi Abdul Malek (affectionately known as Eddie Malek) who is no stranger to conservation works at Sungai Selangor, the group has inspired many other youths within their own community to work together and be involved in conserving the river and surrounding mangroves as habitats for firefly. Ensuring a thriving firefly population is critical for sustaining eco-tourism activities and income for the community. 💪
