Hundreds Of Dogs Follow The Leader

Imagine you open your eyes, and for the first time in a very long time, you’re waking up without fear. You’re in a comfortable nest of straw, inside of a secure building with the sounds of others beginning to rouse. It’s morning here in Nis, Serbia, and for the 750 dogs at Sasha’s free-running dog shelter, it’s going to be a very good day.

For years, we’ve been doing our best to provide food here so that the dogs can remain here where they run and play outside all day. These dogs are so blessed to be rescued and to have full veterinary care, sterilization, shelter and love. Their favorite time of day and we’re putting our shoulder against the wheel trying to gather enough food for next month.
