We are certain some of you may be aware of recent unsavoury allegations that rocked the animal rescue world very recently. We are concerned this may adversely affect the trust factor of donors. This is a very disturbing turn of events as it will affect the operations of all other rescue groups that depend on your generosity. Let us assure you that apart from one or two alleged bad eggs, the rest are genuine and hardworking in our efforts and aspirations to help the voiceless. We hope we will not be penalised for something that was allegedly done by someone else. As for MDDB, we are poor as a church mouse and for years have been barely keeping afloat. Some months ago we received RM63,000 from the will of a specialist doctor from JB when she passed away. That is the reserve funds we have tucked away and will not be touching. Other than that, it is hand to mouth for us every month. Our monthly operations come up to RM40,000 but higher the past month due to our distemper crisis. We request for direct transfers to vet clinics and our chicken man with their contact details so that you can contact them to check details if you want to. Please rest assured that we value your support and will not do anything to undermine this.

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
