It takes a birds-eye view to fully understand the terror for a cat stuck in a tree. Cats may be nimble, but they aren’t sorcerers. They certainly don’t have an all encompassing power to safely descend once they’ve climbed too high. If it were a child trapped in a tree, rescuers would be there in a flash. So why is it that when a cat is in mortal danger, you’ll hear so many people lean on the old sayings rather than actually doing something? Have you ever heard these words:

* “If he got up, he can get back down”

* “Have you ever seen a cat skeleton in a tree?”

* “He just doesn’t want to come down. Wait until he gets ‘hungry enough’”
