UPDATE ON OUR RETIRED BLOOD DONOR JASON

Update on Jason:

1. Jason had his one of his right kidney removed due to the mass on the kidney.

2. The mass was sent for Histopathology test and the result showed that he is having high grade renal cell carcinoma.

3. During the surgery, the vet couldn’t remove all the masses as it has spread into the major blood vessels or surrounding structures.

4. According to the vet, the tumour may be spreading vigorously inside his body and Jason is yet to show any symptoms yet and the chemotherapy may not help him since its a high grade carcinoma.

5. For now, Jason’s blood test and kidney value is stabilised and he has appetite. The vet advised us to discharge him and to give him a palliative care at home.



When this happens, it’s usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it or it’s been deleted.

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
