Daika Was Brought To Soi Dog In Late 2019 In A Ver..

Daika was brought to Soi Dog in late 2019 in a very poor state after being hit by a car. The impact left her unable to stand, with a bruised belly and a fractured pelvis. We don’t know where she came from or how she ended up roaming the streets, but we knew she was in urgent need of help.

Following her recovery, our partner rescue Jack Russel Terrier Rescue Ontario chose Daika to fly to them in Canada. In May this year, she left our shelter and her #furrytailending began! 🇨🇦

On arrival, Daika was placed into a home with experienced foster parents who gave her lots of love and attention and also tested her with their other dogs to help match her up with a future family. It soon became apparent that she likes the company of male dogs but isn’t too fond of females.

This was a great help in choosing Daika’s next foster parents, Brenda and Denis, who had a lovely male dog named Fenton. Fenton was the perfect playmate for Daika – and knew how to put her in her place when needed – and she was in love! She settled quickly into her foster home, enjoying cuddles at night while watching TV on the couch and even learning how to sit and stay. What a good girl.

When our partner rescue let Brenda and Denis know it was time to put Daika up for adoption, they received the best response:

“You must be psychic. We made our decision. Guess what I get for my birthday? Adopted Daika! She is adorable, we love her so much. Sir Fenton is settling into his bratty little brother role, like he was born to be. Thai Princess Daika is a huge snuggle bunny. We are looking forward to a lifetime of adventures with our fur babies.”

There are so many other dogs like Daika at our shelter still waiting for their forever homes. 🏠 To start your own #furrytailending with one of them, please visit: https://www.soidog.org/adopt-a-dog
