Sugarcola And Her Seven Siblings Were Abandoned On..

Sugarcola and her seven siblings were abandoned on the streets back in 2019 at the tender age of two months. They were alone and vulnerable with no mother around and no real knowledge of how to fend for themselves. Fortunately, we were alerted to the situation and dispatched our animal rescue officers to bring them all to safety.

Sugarcola’s difficult puppyhood left her timid and shy, and she struggled to adapt to shelter life. During her two years and four months at Soi Dog, she saw almost all of her siblings find their forever homes but somehow couldn’t catch a big break herself… That was until June when our partner rescue Jack Russel Terrier Rescue Ontario chose her and she flew to Canada! 🇨🇦

Upon arriving, Sugarcola was placed in a home with an experienced foster family who gave her the love and attention she needed to settle in and overcome her initial timidness. Shortly after, she was adopted by a loving couple, Cathy and Randy, who saw her profile online and knew straight away that they had to open their hearts to this shy girl.

While Sugarcola – now just Sugar – likes to be part of the family and wants to be close, Cathy and Randy understand that she’s not ready to be smothered in hugs and kisses just yet. That will come with time and patience. Fortunately, they have a four-year-old English bulldog and an older chocolate Lab who are keeping her company and showing her the ropes of life in a home. We can’t wait to see this sweet, intelligent, curious and fun girl continue to blossom in their loving care.

Thank you to everyone who played a role in Sugarcola’s #furrytailending. You helped another precious soul find the home of their dreams.✨
