2 Nights Ago, We Found This Poor Little Stray Pupp..

2 nights ago, we found this poor little stray puppy (around 7 months old) lying on the road motionless in Puchong. Eye witnesses informed he was being hit by a car earlier. When we approached the puppy, he was awake but looked sick, very weak, and neither could he stand nor walk properly. He was immediately sent to our panel clinic in Puchong for emergency treatment.

When the puppy reached the vet, he started drooling and the vet noticed he was showing some clinical signs of distemper. Thus as a precaution, a distemper test was carried out on the puppy and fortunately, the test result turned out to be negative.

Apart from the car accident, his blood tests showed his liver reading was on the high side which could possibly be due to poisoning. He was given pain killers and administered with IV drips in attempt to stabilise his condition. He is currently being hospitalised to receive the necessary medical treatments.

Today, the vet updated us that the puppy’s condition has stabilised and is showing signs of improvement. They subsequently did an xray as they found the puppy was limping and fortunately, the xray did not show any bone fracture/breakage. The puppy will continue to be hospitalised for treatment and observation. Let us pray for the puppy’s full recovery and hopefully, this puppy would be able to be adopted into a loving home after discharged.

The vet estimated the total cost to be around RM1,079 based on 1 week’s hospitalisation and treatments. Once again, we seek your kind generosity to help sponsor the puppy’s medical costs partially or fully.
