750 DOGS COUNTING ON US

Most dogs who arrive at Sasha’s Shelter on paws that have walked forever. They’ve spent years in homelessness through every rain storm, every deep freeze, ever sizzling hot day. They had nowhere to take refuge but underneath a parked car. This is the life for homeless dogs here until they suddenly are brought to this incredible oasis where every dog is loved.

The shelter in the Serbian community of Nis has a free-running format, allowing the dogs to live without cages. All are spayed/neutered and each month we at Harmony Fund set about the ENORMOUS challenge of trying to feed them. This month, we need a miracle as we’re looking at a substantial shortage of about $2,200 for this project which is among the many, many, many rescue centers dependent on us for aid. The dogs have no idea how we eek by each month, and we’d like to hold onto that secret as we do our level best to let them never know hunger again.
