Happy One-Year Gotcha Day To Soi Dog Rescue Noppar..

Happy one-year Gotcha Day to Soi Dog rescue Nopparat who’s living out his #furrytailending with his forever family in Switzerland! 🏠🇨🇭

Nopparat arrived at our shelter with serious injuries to his legs after meeting with a terrible road traffic accident back in 2019. Unfortunately, his left hind leg was so badly injured that it had to be amputated.

It’s now been a year since this gorgeous three-legged boy left our shelter to start his new life in Switzerland, and we’re thrilled to share this latest update from his adopter:

“If only fools rush in, then Nopparat is a very wise animal. After a year with us he has yet to jump on a bed or sofa; he will sneak into the bedroom at night but leave immediately if you so much as turn or move. In the garden, he is not interested in the usual modern-dog gadget but prefers local products like coconuts, bamboo shoots or empty loo-paper rolls. He loves sitting on the steps and reminding passers-by that this is a private property.

Nopparat is rather reserved with people, likes being scratched behind his left ear (something he cannot do himself) and even having his teeth brushed (something he would never admit). On walks, he prefers sniffing around and generally staying out of trouble but if he sees a mouse, you might as well be trying to call back your weasel or raccoon.

Nopparat arrived carrying more baggage than we expected: this only makes it more gratifying to see him open up a little more every day. He conquered our hearts on day one and the sight of his face in the window when we leave the house more than repays our efforts. We are immensely grateful to everyone who helped make this possible!”

It brings us such joy to see shy wallflowers like Nopparat find an understanding family who love them just the way they are and give them the chance to bloom. ❤
