Winter was in a heartbreaking condition. Not only did he suffer a slingshot in the forehead, we also discovered he had TVT, a transmissible virus that affects dogs and is spread by the transfer of living cancer cells between dogs, usually during mating. This poor boy must have been in unthinkable pain. His slingshot wound was so deep and infected that he couldn’t properly breathe. Every breath Winter took, the pain just grew stronger. 💔😱

TVTs are curable, but treatment is long and costly. It took one reconstruction surgery and two months of chemotherapy treatment to heal Winter’s wounds and defeat the tumour. Without the help of people like you, Winter would have died. 😢😢
