Before Lamu came to our shelter in 2018, he was roaming the beaches and streets as a stray. Even though, he had kind people keeping a good eye on him, as a street dog, it didn’t take long for Lamu to come face to face with danger.

He met with a terrible traffic accident and had to be rushed to Soi Dog for treatment. To save his life, our vets had to make the hard decision to amputate his injured leg.

Despite being one leg down, he has just as much to offer as any of his four-legged friends. But it seems a ‘happy ever after’ is hard to come by, for Lamu. A rough start in life left him shy and unsure around new people, which makes him often overlooked when next to his more confident and outgoing friends.

However, Lamu wants to give you a pinky paw promise that in the right home, it won’t be long before he learns to trust you and be his fun loving self.🐾
