Thora Was Rescued In 2018 After She Was Abandoned ..

Thora was rescued in 2018 after she was abandoned at a landfill site and became buried alive. She was just days old at the time. Deprived of oxygen amongst the rubbish, Thora sadly suffered brain damage and went blind. At the shelter, she lived in her own little world and would often walk around in circles. However, as soon as you called her name and gave her affection, she would relax and lap up the love.
After two years with us, Thora was adopted by long-term Soi Dog supporters and volunteers Julie and Mark. They had already adopted a Thai street dog called Roo and wanted to offer a loving home to another dog in need.
Julie and Mark met Thora while visiting the shelter, so they knew first-hand what a lovely girl she was. They loved her for all of her quirks and, while waiting for her to join them in the UK, safe-proofed their house to make it easier for her to navigate. 🏠🇬🇧
It’s been a year now that Thora has been living her #furrytailending in the countryside near the beach in Cornwall, and Julie and Mark say she’s doing amazingly well. Now renamed Flora, she keeps her mum permanently on her toes running round and round the garden. It’s hard to believe that Flora is blind from the way she charges around! She’s enjoying the Cornish life, loves to be outside especially in the sunshine snoozing💤, and will refuse to come in when she doesn’t want to.
After the toughest of starts to life, we’re so happy that Thora has the chance to live her best life with a family who love her wholeheartedly.💖
