Symposium 2021 Highlight Kerine Leong, Spca. Ocean..

SYMPOSIUM 2021 HIGHLIGHT: KERINE LEONG, SPCA

Ocean Noise Pollution

A final year English undergraduate at NTU with a passion for wildlife and writing, Kerine embarked on a research project with SPCA on obscure animal welfare issues that often go under radar; including Ocean Noise Pollution and Bird-Building Collisions. With the constantly evolving landscape of animal welfare, she sees the importance in bringing awareness to less known issues that are often crowded out from the conversation.

This 31st July, be more conscious of the exponentially alarming phenomenon – Ocean Noise Pollution, a notable cause of mass beaching of marine mammals worldwide. Let Kerine bring you up to speed on little known yet consequential animal welfare issues, and be inspired to embark on your own journey for the animals. It is never too late to make a difference: bit.ly/YAWS2021
