Today (July 10th) is #kittenday a day to celebrate these adorable beings who have captivated human kind for about 10,000 years.🐈

But, the sad truth behind these faces is the suffering that majority of kittens around the world go through.

More kittens are born into the world than there are homes who can care for them. As a new kitten is born, their lives remain uncertain with each passing day. Disease and various dangers are constantly lurking around threatening their lives.

Here at Soi Dog Foundation, many orphaned kittens come through our gates, their fragile bodies fighting diseases and struggling to make it, without the warmth and comfort of their momma. But, together with our fosters and you, our supporters, we do all we can to care for them around the clock.🕰

The sustainable solution however is, to carry out spay and neuter programmes to end the suffering at its core, by preventing the birth of unwanted kittens.

Thanks to your support, we have been able to sterilise over 6000 cats in 2021 alone. That is thousands of unwanted kittens NOT born into a world filled with suffering.

As young kittens, all they should be doing is sleeping, feeding and looking cute. Not having to fight to live another day.

Let’s end their unwanted suffering.

If you’d like to support Soi Dog’s sterilisation programme, or for the care of vulnerable felines, please consider making a gift today: https://www.soidog.org/content/make-donation
