Little Daisy Needs Our Prayers

The 3 musketeers’ fosterer just texted to say Daisy hasn’t been doing well since this afternoon. She has stopped drinking milk and has quickly gone back to her skinny look. It all happened too quickly. Far too soon. There is still a lot of worms in her poo as well. The fosterer has been giving glucose syrup every 2 hours. She says she doesn’t know what else to do.

Here’s what I can share:

1. Hold Daisy close to her heart and keep her warm. Our heartbeat represents our love and care and can be very healing. That’s the spiritual side of healing from the heart. Never underestimate the unseen spiritual connection. I remember doing this for Peanut, Butter and Jelly and also Teddy when their lives were hanging by a thread and I did not know what else to do. It is very comforting and reassuring, for both the carer and the patient. It’s also the warmth, literally and physically.

2. There is a call-back vet service in the clinic in PJ, if need be.

3. Take Daisy in to our vet for a second opinion tomorrow. Worms are tricky business. “To deworm or not to deworm” – worms can kill, but so can deworming if done when the animal is too weak. Only a vet can call the shots on this.

Shall we all pray for Daisy to pull through tonight and get well soon.

Daisy, just two days ago, when she was as perky as ever.

Be your perky self again, Daisy.

We’re all rooting for you!
