Please help us with prayers, well wishes and donations. We need RM 2,849 to cover the hospitalisation and surgery of this brave, little warrior.

This very feral and badly injured cat turned up at Muzium Negara. Fredrik and Caroline have been neutering, releasing and caring for community cats at Muzium Negara.

We don’t typically rescue hurt cats but our member, Vrinda was doing a trap neuter program at a nearby location with Caroline and Fredrik.

The cat could barely move as both hind legs were hurt, with broken bones exposed.

Despite being so terribly injured, Tabby was fierce and growled warnings at any attempt to approach. For 24 hours and multiple attempts, this feral, ferocious and weakening cat refused to be captured. We sent in our member Darren with a net. Finally, we got him.

Tabby terrorised the vet with his aggression. He had to be sedated for X-rays and examination. Both hind legs were broken. Almost every toe was broken. He had several bite wounds, probably from a dog attack.

The surgery took 5 hours and 30 minutes.

After such excessive fractures, we have to wait and hope that healing happens. If not, he may need an amputation. We are hoping for the best.

We were dreading managing this hissing and feral boy’s aftercare. Fredrik fed him cautiously through his cage. 12 hours after surgery this very hissy boy has completely transformed. He is now purring and accepting pets.

We have decided to call him Teddy. 💕
