CESAR WAS TAKEN TO GASING VETERINARY HOSPITAL IMMEDIATELY AFTER RESCUE TODAY. UPDATE ON CESAR:

1. Quite an old dog (more than 10 yrs old) by looking at the tartar build up

2. Negative for distemper and parvovirus. But will be under isolation for a week at least

3. Full blood test taken. His RBC (red blood count), WBC (white blood count) and platelets are okay. His liver and kidney condition will known tomorrow

4. His neck is quite stiff and he walks a bit like penguin. The vet suspects he is having problem with his spinal chord.

5. His heartbeat is a bit abnormal. Scheduled him for a heart scan next Tuesday.

6. He is having some mild skin issues. The vet gave antihistamine for the skin and pain killer for the neck.

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
