Little Paws, the veterinary clinic we take our sanctuary dogs have sent us their bills which need to be settled. They also said the amount has passed the credit limit. We also have 20 puppies to neuter. We made a mistake of thinking that the neutering fee was 280 per pup, which includes vaccination and 10 days hospitalisation. But the clinic informed us it is RM380 per pup. A benefactor and his wife have donated RM2,800. So mow we have to raise the pending vet bills as well as money for the neutering. Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
