Introducing Our Bright-Eyed And Bushy-Tailed Boy Bovon

Bovon was brought to the shelter almost a year ago to the day. He’d been abandoned on the streets and, in his fight to survive, had sustained serious injuries to his ears and hind leg. He was less than a year old at the time.

In his first few weeks with us, Bovon would cower in the corner when anyone approached his kennel. And who could blame him? In his world, people had only ever let him down. Over the course of many months, our behaviour team worked on slowly broadening his social circle by determining which situations he feels comfortable in and then integrating new people into those situations.

As you can see, Bovon has made remarkable progress and is now ready to go out into the world with a wagging tail and a smile! He’ll always be a little on the shy side, though, so he’s looking for a calm home with an experienced owner and a doggie companion or two to lean on.
