As you know, we could not get Karuna adopted, so an elderly Uncle is fostering her for us. Karuna was not our rescue, but we chose to take over because I could not risk her getting attacked by the wild dogs again at the temple. That was how she became our responsibility.
A quick recap, Karuna was rescued by the temple caretaker when she was left “paralysed” after being attacked by a pack of wild dogs. She was in lateral recumbency for a few days and we thought she was paralysed. But soon, with treatment, she could stand and walk again. We also discovered she was a spayed dog. But Karuna was very, very old and we could not find any adopter. So, she went back to the temple, but the wild dogs started hounding her again.
Fast forward to the present, an elderly Uncle said he was willing to look after Karuna. We would provide for all of Karuna’s medical needs.
So, Karuna lives with this Uncle now. Karuna has a persistent cough, which our vet already detected last time, but we were told it is just one of her old age problems and it is all about managing it for her.
Recently, Karuna was taken to the vet for her cough again. We have sponsored the entire treatment. It was RM70.70.
We are very grateful to Uncle for taking care of Karuna.
Thank you, Uncle. Have a great life, Karuna.
