Queen's Speech: Government Makes Pledges On Animal Welfare

The UK government has pledged to raise the animal welfare standards, including recognizing animal sentience, ending live animal export, mandatory pet microchipping and improving zoo condition.



All creatures great and small will be protected in the new proposals, according to the Queen’s Speech.
