This handsome boy was badly hit by a car while just roaming around the neighbourhood. The impact was so intense that Mazaki’s jaw ended up fractured and dislocated 😨😨. He wasn’t able to eat or drink for several days… just a few more days and Mazaki’s life would have ended, in loneliness, on the streets. 😥

Thankfully, Mazaki was found by a local resident and urgently brought to Soi Dog to receive the treatment he needed to survive. We were able to repair his mandibular fracture by reconnecting the broken parts with a wire, so that Mazaki could eat and drink by himself again. 🙌💪

Even though we were able to help Mazaki, his jaw will never get 100% back to normal, and that is why it always looks like Mazaki is pulling a funny face. He is in absolutely no pain and has grown to be comfortable with his special condition – which makes him even more adorable.😻😻

Sadly, once we ran more tests, it turned out that Mazaki was also positive to FIV. This, unfortunately, makes Mazaki less likely to be adopted to a forever home.
