Maslindas Two Male Cats For Treatment

From Maslinda:
I went to the clinic this morning initially to bring in my other cat who have been feverish for 2-3 days. the kittens name is aked, rescued from the middle of the road when he;s only about 3 weeks (I think), on november (during Sukan SEA football final). today was not his first visit, in fact hes been visiting the clinic since hes been rescued, for his deworming and check up, when he was having flu last month etc. today is his 2nd visit in february after yesterdays visit coz I dont see any progress and I want to make an intervention by requesting IV drip. hes admitted now. basically for IV drip, when he gets better, I plan to get him on full blood test. hes always not feeling well even with the vetri and lysine supplement. I dont want him to be isolated at most times, therefore I hope he will recover soon.
Male Stray Cat (named Uncle S)
as for the male stray cat. yesterday I told u that he was limping and physically has no other injuries. hes eating well, but late night I decided to check on him again and do some basic clean up (hes having flu). I was surprised that he actually have another wound on her left hind leg. I think it has been there for quite sometimes because it has pus and its quite big also, u can see the flesh. so I cleaned up the wound and do some dressing with saline, alcohol and apply some losen kuning. I tried to put on iodine, but hes screaming coz iodine sting quite a bit. so I changed to losen kuning.
at the clinic, the vet, from the teeth, she estimates that this cat is probably 13 years of age. so I named him Uncle S (S for stray). one of his kidney has shrunk quite a bit. dr prem said his kidney might be failing due to old age. today check up is basically do dressing on him and since he has mild fever, he was prescribed with doxy and baytril. prescribing antibiotics for uncle s is quite tricky due to his kidney problem. and to make things worse, he was having diarrhea as well. also prescribe with the clay stuff. he was also given subcut drip and one of his molar tooth were taken out (coz its falling off already)
in all these procedures, uncle S was behaving nicely. we (the vet n myself) came to a conclusion that uncle S might be someones pet before he was abandoned. I am required to bring him for subcut drip weekly. this is to help uncle in processing the food that he ate since his kidney is almost failing. I will try my best to give the best care to uncle S. The vet suggest me to do on my own. I dont mind doing subcut on myself (since one of my meds last time requires me to poke myself everyday), but I have no heart poking anything other than me. But for wound dressing, I wont mind doing it on my own
BTW, no sign of thongdao today
We’d be happy to assist with subsidies for both cats.
I’ve also offered Maslinda a packet of RC Renal (it is still brand new, because Indy doesn’t need it anymore now) for the male cat since it is confirmed he has kidney problems.
We hope both cats will get well soon.
