Thuja was just four weeks old when one of Soi Dog’s foster carers found her in their garden. As no one in the area claimed her, we believe she was a homeless kitten who had somehow become separated from her mother. She was suffering from cat flu when she arrived but recovered well and is in good health now.

Thuja lives in the office of our sanctuary director as she’s a wary girl and found the busy cattery overwhelming. A very pleasant co-worker, she spends her time on a cat tower snoozing and playing with her toys. 🐾🧶

We can see that Thuja still carries her past with her. That frightened little kitten is in there, so it takes her time to trust. But if she’s given the chance to get to know you at her own pace, she’ll eventually accept some head rubs and melt into your lap.
