Mddb Carried Out Its First Pound Rescue In Feb 200..

MDDB carried out its first pound rescue in Feb 2019 and some dogs and all the puppies were removed from the DBKL pound which was then located in Setapak at that time. Amongst the dogs rescued was a young beagle. We admitted all the rescues at a vet clinic in Ara Damansara and managed to get one of our then volunteers to take her in. Beagle girl was named Jojo and her new mum indulged her in many ways. Jojo must have been about two at the time of the rescue which makes her 14 now. She has had a stroke but her human mum made sure she received the best and Jojo regained her faculties in no time. Up until she became slow with age, Jojo had voluntered with us on many occasions. The grand old lady continues to lead a happy and fulfilling life.

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
