Adoptions Update On Miraclemonday Featuring Dayara..

Adoptions update on #MiracleMonday featuring Dayaram who also happened to be one of our sponsor dogs, much loved by all who met him.

🤗

Dayaram came to Soi Dog Foundation in 2016 after he was hit by a vehicle. He was found crying in pain, lying on the side of the road, unable to get up or move. He couldn’t eat or drink as he threw up what he consumed.😨

When he was finally at the shelter, our vets found that the force of the accident had injured his hip area and left Dayaram incontinent!

We didn’t think Dayaram would ever find a home of his own due to his condition, but it finally happened and we are were so excited when he left to his #foreverhome last year.🙌

Here is what this beautiful family had to say about adopting Dayaram and how he’s settling in at home:

“We met Dayaram in December 2017, while volunteering at Soi Dog on our honeymoon! Like all volunteers who spent time in the B3 run, it was hard not to notice Dayaram – he loved going out for walks but boy did he throw a tantrum when it was time to return to the run! Full on upside down, legs in the air, wiggle with zero intention to move, causing quite the scene! Fast forward a few years later and we were looking to adopt a second Soi Dog. Dayaram was always in our minds and hearts, and we knew he had little chance of being adopted as he was left incontinent after being hit by a car before being rescued by Soi Dog.

After a long wait due to COVID, Dayaram finally arrived home with us in Connecticut (USA) in October 2020. Unlike our other Soi Dogs who were initially a bit skeptical of life’s comforts (dog beds, couches, blankets, etc.), Dayaram wasted no time getting settled in! As an older fellow, he spends most of his days napping and relaxing on the couch. He loves going out for walks and exploring in our backyard – no more tantrums needed as he is equally happy to come back inside and hang out. Dayaram likes frolicking in the snow, receiving neck and head massages, and even gets the occasional zoomies! He also gets along well with our other Soi Dog, Breeya. His incontinence has been very manageable once we clearly figured out his needs. We are thrilled to have this sweet, silly boy as part of our family!”

What an amazing #furrytailending to Dayaram’s life. We are so thankful to all his sponsors and those who donated for his rescue and care.

And of course, to his amazing forever family, who has given Dayaram the home of his dreams.

Without wonderful adopters. the life of these rescues could never be complete.🙏
