HAPPY TALES: TRIXIE

I’ve been with dad for over 15 years. People say I look like I can “die of happiness” whenever he comes home. But back then, it wasn’t love at first sight for either of us. He found me scruffy with a crooked jaw, and I was very aloof. Still, he never gave up and fussed over me with yummy food and affection. After one week of warming up to his bribes, I became clingy forever.

They say I’ve been keeping dad’s blood pressure down. My trick is bringing him on walks, playing with him, giving lots of lap cuddles, and sleeping by his side. (´･ᴗ･ ` ) I will do this again and again, for as long as I can.

Now that 15 years have passed, I’m blind and deaf. I’m much slower, always walking into walls, and can’t hold my pee and poo well. Yet, dad reminds me every day that I’m a blessing to him although I feel more blessed to have him. To dad, thank you and I hope my #SPCASingapore friends will meet hoomans like you.
