Dog Houses Bowls Destroyed. Winter Has Taken A Tol..

Winter has taken a toll on the very old dog houses at the Hresa dog pound in Bosnia.
“The dogs are literally sleeping on concrete with no shelter,” rescuer Stephanie Connor explains. “During the winter many bowls, water buckets and little wooden houses have been destroyed or rotted.”
Thanks largely to Stephanie’s efforts in the UK, the Hresa dog pound in Bosnia has become more of an evacuation center than a permanent place of suffering for dogs. Dogs are routinely rescued from the pound and taken to the UK where they are placed in good homes. But until they can be rescued, the dogs are cold and wet every time it rains because water flows right in the gate of their kennels and pools on the floor. Normally, each dog would have a dog house filled with straw bedding, but five dogs’ kennels are without.
“To get bowls and five houses built will be around 800 euros ($963 American).” Stephanie explains.
Due to very serious situations requiring our help in the Middle East, Harmony Fund hasn’t had the funds to provide for these dogs. We’re hoping perhaps several people could pull together to help us raise the $963 needed to bring comfort to the dogs here.
