THE FOOD FAIRIES OF TURKEY

In a land where Covid19 cases are soaring and tourism has all but vanished, our tiny team of fairies are in the streets each day feeding several hundred homeless cats. No, they don’t carry wands or wear sparkling dresses, but even covered in fur and cat food, they are the most beautiful site the cats have ever seen. The cats recognize the ladies who appear each day to deliver not only food and water, but often the only human kindness these cats will ever encounter.

We’d love to have some words of encouragement for the ladies who are often shouted at and even threatened by their fellow countrymen who dislike animals. Please use the comments area to offer any emotional support you can to our team members who sometimes feel very alone. The ladies on our team are: Selda, Melissa, Serpil, Manuela and a very kind volunteer named Carly has been an immense help recently.
