URGENT: Help Needed For Injured Dog In Kota Samarahan, Sarawak

This is from Azura (0198059234) in Kota Samarahan, Sarawak:

Dear Dr Chan,
Hi and good afternoon to you.
I do need your kind assistance and advice regarding an injured stray dog at my housing area, Taman Riveria, Kota Samarahan, Sarawak. I have been feeding these strays whenever they come by my house. However, I notice one dog which I named Brown has terribly injured due to dog fight I assume. There are a few punctures on the left and right of his neck. I do not know how to give medical aid to this poor brown because he is scare to people. I hope you can help this poor dog because he does really need vet attention.
I have sent email to a few non-profit animal organizations for their assistance but yet to reply. I can’t help feeling so worried about Brown’s condition. He seems reluctant to eat this morning. It is a bad sign that his health is deteriorating due to the injury.
I would like to request for a subsidy and I am willing to chip in for its medical cost for the sake of helping poor brown in case that he can be caught for treatment  One more thing, he needs to be transported to the place where he could receive the treatment. Please advise.
I cannot bear seeing him in such state. Attached here his pictures together with his companion, bobby. Brown is very loyal and attached to bobby. TQ for your attention.

Regards,
Azura

Calling for rescuers and animal-lovers in Kota Samarahan, could you please help Azura with transportation?

I have assured Azura that we will subsidise the cost of treatment for Brown.

Now, the first step is getting Brown to the vet’s.  Can anyone offer help, please?

Please contact Azura directly if you can.  Her email is azures75@yahoo.com and her hp is 0198059234.

Updates at 12.50pm – Azura says she does not know how to catch Brown. I’ve asked her to make a lasso/loop with a rope and very, very gently and slowly slide it over Brown’s head so that it acts as a collar-and-leash. If one approaches an animal with absolutely NO FEAR and only unconditional love, usually the animal will not attack.  The trick is to replace all the fear with unconditional love. If there is even a tinge of fear, the animal will detect it and might attack.  Animals’ natural instinct is when there is fear, there is a need to defend themselves and their gross basal instinct is to attack.

Updates at 1.23pm – Thanks to the quick actions of a reader, Mei Yee, Richard of SSPCA has responded and says they will handle this case. I called Azura immediately, but she has not heard from Richard yet. Our offer to subsidise Brown’s treatment still stands.  We thank SSPCA for helping Azura and Brown and hope Brown will recover soon under the care of a vet.  The injuries do not look too severe and Brown seems to be well otherwise.  We pray for the best now.
