This pretty girl arrived into our care with a cancerous mass that spanned her entire paw. It was severely swollen, and she could not walk on it. Fortunately, the cancer had not spread and so by amputating the leg, we could not only end her pain but also save her life.

When we first met Philae, it was clear she was very fearful of people. We can only assume she has never had a human show her love or compassion. The fear meant that on the surface, she would seem aggressive. So as soon as they could, our behaviourists got to work on helping Philae. With the right techniques and approaches, she started to accept people into her circle and when that happened, her gentle and playful demeanour started to come out. 🧡

Our behaviour team are dedicated to helping every dog they can. And this is all because of people like you who enable us to give every dog the opportunity to thrive. All thanks to your donations, our behaviourists have been able to work with her and get her to a place where she is confident with other dogs, accepting of people and living a good dog life.
