Sad End To One Loyal Dog In Penang

A stand corrected in this earlier post. Only one dog was euthanised. The other is awaiting a similar fate unless someone adopts it. The write-up below has been corrected from its previous one.

It is heart-breaking news for me that such a loyal friend has been killed (No, I don’t mince my words, euthanasia IS killing, people can call it whatever they want (“put to sleep”, “put to rest”, “let it go”, “let it rest”). It IS killing. Let’s not mask the severity of this act with semantics so that people “forget” it is killing).
It is sad that on the whole of Penang island, no one could offer to look after these loyal friends or give them a home till their end.
It is VERY sad.
I can only pray that for the virtues they have shown for their owner, may this euthanised dog be reborn in a much better existence now, where cruelty has no place and compassion reigns.
And let’s hope the remaining dog can be saved, somehow.
This is such a bitter world, more bitter than we want to imagine.
Remember the case of the 2 dogs that we euthanised because they protected their property and in the event, attacked a foreign tourist? Also in Penang, I think. The dogs lost of court case and were sentenced to death. What a horrible world we live in where no protection is given to the defenseless and the strong bully the weak.
