We cannot imagine his pain. This three-year-old beautiful boy was a victim of unjust cruelty. His leg was caught in a snare. As you can see, Orkusโ€™ leg had already turned purple by the time he came to Soi Dog. It was necrotic and full of maggots. There was tragically no way to save it. It was an emergency; he was rushed into surgery, so the leg could be amputated before the infection spread any further.

Although this tale is incredibly sad, the good news is that Orkus recovered phenomenally well and quickly from the amputation. He bounds around on three legs with such ease. The equally amazing news is that Orkus instantly caught the eye of one of our wonderful partner rescue organisations, and before he knew it, Orkus was packing his bags for a new life overseas! We could not be more thrilled to tell you that last week, Orkus left the Soi Dog shelter for Canada. ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

It is amazing how life can change in just a few short months for sweet pups like Orkus. And it is all because of Soi Dog supporters like you. Never again will he be scared, alone and in danger of harm on the streets. Your kindness is the reason that we could save Orkusโ€™ life in every way possible. Without your donations, we dread to think what might have happened to Orkus out on the streets. Will you please give today, so we can help more? https://links.soidog.org/save-more-dogs-like-orkus
